Sandeshharika (‘voice of the prophetess′) is a women′s journal owned, conceived, prepared and presented annually by the Women of Leonard Theological College. Sandeshharika is not just a printed material of yet another kind, but it symbolizes a space, a site, a voice, a stand, and a vision of women for a new World order. Marriage: Traditions, Changes and Future is an apt and timely theme selected by the editorial board of Sandeshharika for the year 2017-18. What is going to be the future of the institution of marriage is anyone′s guess. How long marriage is going to be oppressive for women in its traditional form as well as in its new avatars? What would it take to make marriage a happy union of two individuals to love and cherish, to hold and to support, and to share and to care?
