Rumours of Angels: History, Ideas and Future Directions in Christian-Muslim Relations is a collection of articles from the members of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America who served at the Henry Martyn Institute in various capacities. The book contains scholarly articles of varied topics on the study of religions-especially Islam and Christianity. Some of the main themes of the book studies the doctrinal concepts and issues related to Islam and Christianity. It studies Christians′ approaches to the study of Islam, Islamic doctrines and vice versa. This includes early attempts of the Church fathers on the study of Islam. It further assesses the prospects and challenges of Christian-Muslim relation. The book also incorporates articles on Islamic philosophy and Sufism.
