Metropolitan Paulos Mar Gregorios of Delhi (1922-1996), a leading Orthodox theologian, philosopher and ecumenist of the 20th century had an abiding interest in the issue of the relationship between church and authority. His vision of the kingdom of God served as the ground for his deep sense of the church as well as for his critique of authority and historically developed structures of the church. This book is a collection of his articles, papers and speeches over a span of four decades on issues like nature of the church, authority, Christian unity, dialogue and conciliarity.
